The Mediatisation of Politics. Over the asian in panty hose last decade, the asian in panty hose concept mediatised or mediated politics has asian in panty hose been established as a core concept in the discussions surrounding the conditions for politics (see eg Asp 1990; Asp and Esaiasson 1996; Bennet and Entman 2001; Thompson 1995; asian in panty hose Ekstrom and Eriksson 1999). In Sweden the concept mediatisation of politics was launched by Kent Asp in his study Maktiga massmedier asian fucked huge cock [Mighty Mass Media]. Asp originally defined the concept as follows: Asp and Esaiasson (1996, see also Asp, 1986) distinguish three aspects of the mediatisation of politics. First, the development which makes media the dominating channel through which politics is made known to the citizens. Second, the conditions that govern the media – such as the market, the ideology and working methods of journalism – which in turn create specific conditions for political conversations. Third, the ways in which politicians adjust their activities to the working methods of journalism and the asian in panty hose logic of the media. The concept adaptation is central in Aspfis theory on mediatisation (see also Asp 1990). The power mechanism in force is, Asp claims, the adjustment that takes place when someone, in this case political actors, predicts the way asian in panty hose in which the media works and accommodates oneself to this in order to realise one's objectives. Taking this as a starting-point, at least three general research issues are brought to the fore: Adaptation to what? Adaptation in what ways? Adaptation with which consequences? A specific issue is also to what extent adaptation is the correct concept. Maybe integration is better? The concept asian in panty hose of adaptation run the risk of bringing one's thoughts to uncorrupted politics outside of the media and consequently to degenerated politics that have been adapted to the media. As Corner (1999) points out it is problematic to view the mediatisation of politics as a development in its own right, since all political communication involves the media in one way or another. Research on the mediatisation of politics should therefore concern the conditions for politics within the scope of specific media technologies, representation systems and institutionalised forms for public political conversations. A central aspect of the mediatisation of politics is the integration of politics in a visual culture.
The overall aim with this project is to study, in a historically comparative perspective, the images, stories and notions of municipal politics and activities that are conveyed in local/regional press. The project, which will run during 2002-2005, is a joint project between Mats Ekstrom and Larsake Larsson at Media and Communication Studies at Orebro University, asian in panty hose and Bengt Johansson at JMG, Goteborg University. Media and journalism have an important scrutinising role in a democratic society. A growing number of critics however claim that this scrutiny takes a shape and form which in itself also can pose a threat to democracy. The accountability claims (the possibility to make those in authority accountable), which represent one of democracy's most fundamental mechanisms, have shifted further into the media sphere. The central problems posed in this project vietnam sex movie are asian in panty hose as follows: (1) How does media's scrutiny of municipal activities work? (2) What notions and expectations of the municipal operations are expressed in the scrutiny and reporting of the media? asian in panty hose (3) What images are conveyed of asian in panty hose the municipalities? responsibilities in different areas? (4) In what way are political accountability claims handled in the media? (5) What politician roles and citizen roles respectively dominate asian in panty hose the media reporting? (6) What relationships are created between the citizen, local politics and the media/journalism? These issues are studied in a historically comparative perspective with a focus on three specific years – 1961, 1981 and 2001 – asian in panty hose and three Swedish municipalities of varying size and with different media structures – Orebro, Lidkoping asian in panty hose and Vingaker. For each year, newspaper material is collected during two limited periods of time. The study takes as a starting-point a discourse-theoretical perspective which observes the overall structure of the reporting, the more detailed choice of words, as well as the stories of politics that recur.
The research object can be viewed from two perspectives. For the media sphere – its institutions, production processes and representation systems – politics is on the one hand a asian in panty hose central object. The identity, claims and genres of journalism have for instance to a large extent developed in japan group sex trailer relation to the political sphere. In conversation programmes on radio and TV, political issues are at the core. Concurrently with its integration in the media society, the way in which politics and democracy asian in panty hose work, as well as the conditions under which they function, have on the other hand changed radically. This concerns the forms for legitimate wielding of power, political representativity, accountability claims, publicity, participation asian in panty hose and open asian in panty hose dialogue on common issues, politisation of new issues, and competition between political alternatives. Within Media and Communication Studies at Orebro University in Sweden, a group of researchers have in a number of studies in recent years looked at communicative practices at the crossroads between politics and the media. The present programme has developed partly with the aim of integrating this research, developing multi-disciplinary collaboration, and formulating common starting-points as well as objectives. It is our hope that the programme will inspire new research projects, both thesis projects and asian in panty hose other studies. We would clearly like to emphasise however, that it is not asian in panty hose our ambition to study all the issues brought to asian in panty hose the fore by the programme. The aim with this text is to spread information about the research and the activities that are underway within the scope of the programme.
